Oh.My.Goodness. It has been raining here in the city for like the past week! Absolutely ridiculous that we are claiming this crap as "summer". Just had to get that out.
My last post was Thursday and other than the usual (work, eat, sleep, etc.) it's been a pretty uneventful few days. I absolutely cannot stand working on Fridays so I went in and lied about having a doctor's appointment so I could leave at 1pm instead of 4pm. Yes, I know. I am ballsy.
Jetted out of the office and went back to the Webster before venturing to Century 21. Century 21 is like TJ Maxx and Marshalls threw up into one huge, obnoxious, department store. Add a few hundred unaware/uneducated shoppers and it is a NIGHTMARE. I went once last weekend and thought I would unleash my wrath on the next person that rolled their cart over my foot. Take a Xanax (I don't recommend medication, but possibly some deep breathing could work?) I found some great things though, and will continue to go back, no matter how many anxiety issues that store gives me :)
Friday night was super low-key. Some of the girls went to the Intrepid to watch a free showing of Top Gun and the rest of us stayed at good ol' Webby and bonded over alcove time (tears, laughing, dancing, etc.) Saturday was just a flop of a day. Intermittent rain throughout, so we saw a matinee of The Hangover. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD AND WAS IN STITCHES IT WAS SO FUNNY. Get this, matinee is Friday-Sunday for any movie before noon and it costs $6. Regularly priced tickets are $12. Dumb. Enough said. For anyone that knows me well enough, I took a nap of course, then lounged around until I had to babysit at 7pm. The weekend trains are wacky so it took forever to get to the UWS. Rant #2: I don't enjoy relying on public transportation when I have the potential to be late. And I hate being late.
I am so excited for Sunday. It is one of the best days of the week besides Friday because it relaxes, refocuses, and refreshes before you have to get back to work on Monday. I love my routine of breakfast, church, brunch/lunch, nap, vegging.
