Fierce and Fabulous Weekend :)

I had such a great weekend! Friday night was the ValSecret party at the Trump World Bar and it was so swanky. It was a good excuse for pretty people to get together, drink, and dance all night. SO MUCH FUN and now I am all over guestofaguest.com.

Saturday was a big mishmash of awesomeness (while being slightly hungover). First we went to a flea market that was located in a converted parking garage. We had gone to another one earlier in the month closer to The Webster, but this one was more vintage-y.

I really wanted an owl necklace last time but the lady wouldn't sell it to me for $18 (she just had to have $20!) so Jamie, with her eagle eyes, spotted this bangin' owl necklace. It is gold with purple glass eyes and will pretty much match my whole wardrobe. Exciting :) We also went to this obscure coffee shop with great advertising. This poster said at the top, "What's your preference?" and of course it is talking about coffee, but it could also apply to men. To prove a point, there was a buff guy printed on the corner.
Next was the BBQ Block Party in Washington Square Park. Different BBQ places compete every year and it was so refreshing to have real "southern bbq". Tasty.

Afterwards, we played around at FIT on their steel sculpture and took ridiculously juvenile photos that are super cute and went for cupcakes at the famed Billy's Bakery (Martha says they have the best vanilla cake and I agree). I was spent and took a nap while the others explored more.

Sunday was like a Sunday should be, easy and relaxing. Jamie and I went to this church called Gallery and I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be going back. Then I got to take part in a Manhattan tradition, BRUNCH! I met Alex at this cute restaurant called Jane in NoHo. I had biscuit, grits, scrambled eggs, and chicken sausage, plus a complimentary Mimosa. That sealed the deal. Of course a nap followed, then met up with the girls for Molly's going away dinner. Sad to see her go, but jealous because she is off to New Zealand, the lucky duck. It was a good meal with good people :)
